Job Title: Direct Support Professional (DSP)


Location: North Chicago Area

Protouch Staffing is currently hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to work in Certified Integrated Living Arrangements (CILA) supporting adults and youths with intellectual disabilities in the North Chicago area. We have immediate openings for dedicated individuals who are passionate about providing compassionate care and support in a residential setting.

Position Details


Profession: Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Shift: Days/ Nights

Schedule: Days and Nights available

Employment Type: Full-Time / Per Diem opportunities may be available

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and meal preparation
• Provide supportive care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment within the home
• Monitor and record vital signs when required
• Assist with mobility and ensure the safety of residents at all times
• Transport clients to appointments, community activities, or errands when required
• Follow care plans and tasks assigned by the House Manager, LPN, or RN
• Provide emotional support and encourage independence in daily activities
• Accurately document services and report any behavioral or health concerns

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience working as a Direct Support Professional with high behavioral individuals
• State Certified Direct Support Professional (DSP)
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Current CPR (hands-on) and First Aid Certification
• TB test within 1 year or QuantiFERON Gold test
• Physical examination completed within the past year
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work both day and night shifts
