Post-Acute Cardiology Advanced Practice Clinician in Kansas City, KS

TeamHealth is seeking a quality-driven nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join our post-acute care team in the Kansas City, Kansas, area. This is a full-time opportunity (5 days/week) rounding in skilled nursing facilities, with excellent support and training, autonomy, and earning potential. Compensation is fee for service with an estimated compensation range of $133,642 to $148,000 annually and no cap on productivity income potential. In this role, you'll provide high-quality care to a diverse patient population, collaborate with an experienced multidisciplinary team, and build meaningful relationships with patients and their families. The medical practice is part of TeamACO, a dedicated long-term Accountable Care Organization participating in the Medicare Shared Savings Program for our clinicians, which could result in you receiving a portion of the shared savings if certain criteria are met. Key Responsibilities Cardiac consulting and follow-up care to patients in skilled nursing facilities Analyze pathophysiology for cardiovascular disease processes Interpret stress and EKG tests Order and interpret lab results Prescribe and monitor medications Manage patients with cardiac defibrillators and pacemakers Qualifications Current NP or PA Kansas and Missouri license and DEA 2 years of experience in cardiology Strong clinical foundation and knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Collaborative, team-oriented approach with a positive outlook Why Join TeamHealth?
