Handle high-value bankruptcy cases, collaborate with experienced attorneys, and build long-term client relationships in a respected commercial law environment. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities Represent debtors in Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and other bankruptcy proceedings. Advise clients regarding restructuring strategies, insolvency issues, and bankruptcy alternatives. Develop and maintain an established book of business while expanding client relationships. Prepare bankruptcy petitions, schedules, motions, pleadings, and court filings. Represent clients before bankruptcy courts and related judicial proceedings. Negotiate restructuring agreements and settlements with creditors. Conduct legal research involving bankruptcy statutes, regulations, and case law. Collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice areas to provide comprehensive legal solutions. Counsel clients regarding bankruptcy compliance and risk management. Develop litigation strategies for contested bankruptcy matters. Maintain consistent communication with clients regarding legal developments and case strategy. Participate in business development, networking, and professional organizations. Stay informed regarding changes in bankruptcy law and emerging legal trends. Qualifications Minimum 7 years of debtor-side bankruptcy experience. Established and transferable book of business. Significant experience representing debtors in sophisticated bankruptcy matters. Strong understanding of federal bankruptcy laws and court procedures. Excellent legal research, legal writing, and analytical abilities. Superior client counseling and relationship management skills. Ability to independently manage complex legal matters. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Collaborative approach while maintaining the ability to work independently. Education Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Certifications Active admission to the New York State Bar.
