Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Specialist – Network & VPN to maintain, secure, and optimize the organization's network infrastructure, VPN environments, servers, and core IT systems.

This is a hands-on infrastructure role with a strong focus on enterprise networking, VPN technologies, Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization, infrastructure security, and system reliability .

The ideal candidate enjoys troubleshooting complex technical issues, improving infrastructure performance, and taking ownership of systems that need to remain secure, scalable, and highly available.

What You'll Do

• Administer, maintain, and support enterprise network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, wireless networks, VLANs, and routing .
• Configure, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot VPN solutions and secure remote connectivity .
• Manage and maintain Microsoft Windows Server environments.
• Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Windows networking services .
• Support and maintain Hyper-V virtualization environments.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Microsoft SQL Server environments.
• Monitor network and infrastructure performance, availability, reliability, and capacity.
• Manage enterprise storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex server, network, VPN, virtualization, operating system, and connectivity issues .
• Implement infrastructure upgrades, system enhancements, and network improvements.
• Apply security patches, firmware updates, operating system updates, and other infrastructure maintenance.
• Implement and maintain cybersecurity best practices across network and server environments.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
• Support office infrastructure and participate in IT projects across multiple locations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to maintain reliable, secure, and scalable technology infrastructure.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and provide after-hours support for maintenance or critical incidents when required.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in Systems Administration, Network Administration, or Infrastructure Support.
• Strong hands-on experience with enterprise networking and VPN technologies .
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting switches, routers, firewalls, VLANs, and routing.
• Strong experience administering Microsoft Windows Server environments .
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Windows networking.
• Experience supporting Hyper-V virtualization .
• Experience supporting Microsoft SQL Server environments.
• Strong understanding of network and infrastructure security principles.
• Experience managing backup, storage, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure and networking problems.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and technical projects in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

• Linux server administration.
• Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.
• PowerShell scripting and automation .
• Network monitoring and performance-management tools.
• Docker or Kubernetes.
• CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible .
• Microsoft, Cisco, Azure, VMware, Linux, or networking certifications.

Work Environment

• Full-time, in-office position in Orlando, FL.
• Occasional travel may be required.
• Participation in an on-call rotation is required.
• Occasional after-hours work may be necessary for maintenance windows or critical incidents.
• Prolonged periods of sitting and computer-based work.
• Ability to occasionally lift and install IT equipment weighing up to 55 pounds.
