Lead Food Services Rep – Atlantic Health Chilton Medical Center – Per Diem Pempton Plains, NJ, United States Job Description Responsible for cash control, customer service, cost control, inventory, and sales records of multiple concepts within a large cafeteria or full operation of a C-store satellite location. Provides leadership and direction to subordinate staff and reports personnel and operational problems to supervisor for final resolution. Principal Accountabilities Provides leadership, direction, and training to food service personnel; assigns job duties and oversees the completion of assigned tasks. Provides on‑site, immediate resolution of customer service needs and overall direction of food service operation in the absence of the supervisor. Manages the change fund, oversees cash register operators, verifies cash outs, prepares bank depository records, and maintains proper balance of bills and coins. Operates calculator and cash register; opens and closes cash registers. Opens and closes location daily, ensuring safety and security of the facility. Maintains familiarity with the electronic point of sale (POS) system, including cash registers, scanners, and basic troubleshooting. Familiar with Eatec Inventory and Purchasing system, including transfers, requisitions, products, and physical inventory. Assists in preparation of work schedules, resolves scheduling problems, and assigns and monitors employee breaks. Provides input to the supervisor concerning the performance of subordinate Food Service Workers to allow accurate and fair evaluation of their performance. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Required High School Diploma or GED equivalent. 2+ years of experience as Food Service Representative or in a related area. Preferred 4-5 years of work experience in the food industry.
