HVAC Service Manager 
Job Location - Lorton, VA

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7am to 5pm, with occasional weekend and evening availability required to support operational demands

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Service Manager to lead a team of 15 technicians. This role is approximately 80% office based and 20% field based, combining hands on leadership with strategic oversight of daily service operations, budget management, and team development.

Responsibilities:

• Drive profitability and customer satisfaction by enhancing revenue growth while consistently delivering exceptional service
• Evaluate and schedule service work to effectively utilize manpower and maximize operational efficiency
• Develop, manage, and oversee departmental budgets to meet financial objectives
• Oversee ordering and allocation of materials and equipment to ensure availability for scheduled jobs
• Schedule timely repairs and maintenance for parts to reduce job completion delays
• Contribute to research and marketing strategies to help drive business growth
• Generate and review performance reports with management to monitor and improve operations
• Track and measure inventory, tools, and vehicle usage to ensure accurate records
• Instruct and guide crews on proper material use and ensure high quality workmanship
• Review payroll records to verify accurate and timely technician compensation
• Ensure employees have access to necessary tools that are well maintained and ready for use
• Assist in dispatching to ensure the right technician is assigned to each service request
• Address and resolve customer issues and complaints promptly
• Evaluate staff performance, identify training needs, and provide on the job training and support
• Assist in identifying and developing future leaders, including hiring, scheduling, and performance evaluations
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment
• Build trust and strong working relationships across the team
• Additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of hands on HVAC service experience
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems, gas piping, electricity, plumbing, and airflow
• Proven supervisory experience with strong communication, computer, and mathematical skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task effectively
• Proactive, positive approach with a commitment to high quality work
• Strong customer service orientation
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Must pass background check and drug test

Physical Requirements:

• Lifting 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally
• Climbing ladders, accessing attics, navigating tight spaces, entering crawlspaces, pushing, pulling, carrying, using hand tools, and performing fine detail work
• Ability to drive to various locations as needed
• Working in indoor and outdoor environments, including attics and crawlspaces
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear, in person and by phone
• Ability to use hands to handle objects or controls and reach with hands and arms
• Regular stooping, kneeling, bending, and crouching
• Regular exposure to extreme temperatures and adverse weather conditions
