Internal Medicine Physician

Overview

A rapidly growing, value-based primary care organization is seeking a Regional Medical Director to lead clinical operations across the Orlando and Tampa market. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on provider performance, quality outcomes, and operational execution across a multi-site outpatient network.

This position is ideal for a hands-on physician leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and is passionate about improving care delivery for geriatric populations within a managed care model.

Position Highlights

• Oversight of 9 clinics across Orlando & Tampa
• Mon- Fri; 8a-5p
• Leadership of ~50 PCPs and 2530 clinical team members
• Direct reporting to the Chief Medical Officer
• Mix of administrative leadership + clinical presence as needed
• High level of autonomyown your schedule and regional oversight strategy

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage provider performance across multiple clinics
• Ensure adherence to value-based care protocols and clinical workflows
• Drive quality outcomes, risk-based performance, and patient engagement initiatives
• Partner closely with operations to solve challenges and improve clinic performance
• Support post-acquisition culture integration and provider retention
• Conduct performance evaluations and develop providers through coaching and feedback
• Maintain a visible, hands-on presence within clinics
• Step in clinically when needed to support patient care

Qualifications

• MD/DO in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Board Certified
• Active leadership experience required (multi-site or multi-provider preferred)
• Full-risk managed care / value-based care experience REQUIRED
• Strong experience managing:
  • Provider teams
  • Clinical quality metrics
  • Performance improvement initiatives
• Proven ability to make decisive, timely leadership decisions
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build relationships
• Spanish bilingual REQUIRED (provider + patient population)

Compensation

• $300k + base
• Up to 30% of base in quality bonus
