Position Overview and Qualifications

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be essential in providing care for our most vulnerable patients facing respiratory challenges. Our Certified Respiratory Therapists (CRTs) and Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRTs) are integral to a dynamic clinical team, thriving in a fast-paced environment while managing a variety of cases. Your responsibilities may include setting up ventilators in the NICU, assisting post-surgical patients in the ICU, and aiding emergency room patients with their breathing needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, plan, and deliver high-quality respiratory care to patients in line with departmental policies and licensure regulations.
• Document and communicate patient care activities and the use of equipment such as ventilators and blood gas analyzers.
• Ensure proper cleaning, disinfection, and storage of respiratory equipment.
• Educate patients and their families on respiratory care practices to promote optimal health outcomes.

Required Qualifications:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 90 days of starting employment.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification must be obtained within 90 days of starting employment.
• Associate Degree in a relevant field.
• Neonate Resuscitation or (RRT/RCP-State) Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner certification must be obtained within 90 days of starting employment.
• (NBRC-RRT) Registered Respiratory Therapist certification.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience is required.
