Cybersecurity Consultant

DescriptionKforce has a client that is seeking a Cybersecurity Consultant in San Diego, CA.Summary:Join a growing cybersecurity consulting practice supporting organizations across a variety of industries. This role is ideal for an experienced consultant who enjoys helping clients strengthen cyber resilience through risk management, governance, compliance, and security advisory services.Responsibilities:* Serve as a trusted cybersecurity advisor for client engagements* Support cyber risk, security, governance, and compliance initiatives* Communicate technical findings, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels* Develop reports, presentations, and deliverables for both technical and executive audiences* Conduct risk assessments, business impact analyses, tabletop exercises, and incident response planning activities* Collaborate with internal teams to deliver high-quality consulting engagements* Support proposal development, statements of work, and practice operations* Contribute to the growth and advancement of cybersecurity service offerings* Build and maintain strong client relationships through trusted advisory supportRequirements* Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred* Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CIPM, or CIPP are strongly preferred* 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, risk management, governance, compliance, or advisory consulting, Big 4 or equivalent* Experience supporting cybersecurity assessments, risk management initiatives, or security consulting engagements* Experience with technology due diligence, mergers and acquisitions, or private equity environments is a plus* Experience with incident response readiness, vendor risk management, business continuity, and disaster recovery planning* Knowledge of cybersecurity and risk frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CMMC, and CIS Controls* Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to engage both technical and executive audiences* Ability to travel occasionally (approximately 5%)Job TypeContractCompensation75 - $90
