This full-time position offers you the chance to work across several sites within the district, focusing on supporting students with diabetic needs for the 2026-2027 school year, running from ASAP through mid-June 2027. The role is exclusively onsite and involves 6.5-hour days (6 hours paid, plus a .5-hour unpaid lunch).

Key Qualifications:

• Current Washington State LPN license, or willingness to obtain one prior to start
• Open to travel between multiple elementary school locations within the district
• Comfortable working independently, responding proactively to students’ health needs
• Completion of fingerprinting with OSPI, or willingness to complete this process
• Background in school nursing or pediatric care a plus, especially supporting diabetic students

Position Responsibilities:

• Provide direct diabetic care to elementary students, including monitoring, medication administration, and emergency response
• Travel between school sites as needed, ensuring continuous coverage and care
• Communicate clearly with school staff, families, and healthcare providers regarding student health status and care plans
• Maintain accurate records of nursing interventions and follow district protocols
• Foster a safe, supportive environment for students with medical needs

This position offers a highly competitive hourly rate of $70-75, based on experience.
