Mill Machinist
We are seeking a skilled 1st shift CNC Machinist to mill details from plate or flat stock according to blueprints to exact dimensions, and to mill details of various shapes and materials.
Job Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Use measuring tools accurately
- Sharpen cutting tools as needed
- Perform own set-ups for milling operations
- Download and alter programs if necessary
- Machine materials to print specifications
- Operate overhead crane as required
Essential Skills
- 3 years of experience operating a 3-axis mill
- Ability to read digital micrometers and calipers
- Experience with G&M code editing
- Ability to set up machines, including downloading programs, obtaining tooling, offsetting parts, fixturing parts, and making G&M code edits with Fanuc controllers
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn Hills, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
