We are seeking an experienced CNC Manufacturing Lead to oversee operations for 6 CNC mills and 1 CNC lathes for 8-10 hours per day run-time, with support staff of 4 machinists to assist in running of the machines. Specializing in prototype and detail-level defense manufacturing, tool and die processing.
This role requires expertise in  Master Cam. WorkNC CAM software, Mazak CNC machines, and Mazatrol programming, along with strong leadership skills to mentor young professionals and high school vocational students.

Key Responsibilities:

• WorkNC Mazatrol Programming: Develop and optimize CNC programs using WorkNC CAM software and Mazatrol for efficient machining operations.
• Tool Die Processing: Oversee the design, machining, and maintenance of tooling, dies, and fixtures, ensuring accuracy and longevity.
• Prototype Development: Lead the machining of defense prototypes, ensuring precision, material integrity, and compliance with industry standards.
• Machine Setup Operation: Configure and oversee 6 CNC mills and 1 CNC lathes, ensuring proper calibration and tool selection for high-precision manufacturing.
• Leadership Mentorship: Train and mentor junior machinists, providing hands-on guidance in programming, setup, and machining best practices.
• Process Optimization: Continuously improve machining processes by refining WorkNC and Mazatrol programs for efficiency and accuracy.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished components using precision measuring tools to ensure compliance with specifications. Make necessary modifications to improve accuracy.
• Troubleshooting Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve machine malfunctions. Perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance.
• Defense Industry Compliance: Ensure all machining processes meet defense manufacturing standards, including tight tolerances, material durability, and complex geometries.
• Safety & Compliance: Adhere to workplace safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a CNC Machinist and Programmer with WorkNC (7+ Years), Mazak
• (2+ Years), and tool and die processing (2+ Years).
• Proficiency in WorkNC CAM software and Mazatrol programming for CNC operations.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with experience training junior machinists and
• vocational students.
• Experience with defense prototyping and precision machining, ensuring compliance
• with industry standards.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities, thriving in a small, collaborative shop
• environment.

Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
