Assistant Wholesale Planner

Location: New York City (Hybrid – 4 Days Onsite / 1 Day Remote) Pay Rate: $28–30/hr based on experience Employment Type: Full-Time About the Opportunity My client is a highly established global apparel and consumer products company with an impressive portfolio of fashion and licensed brands sold across major retailers including Walmart, Target, and other major wholesale partners. They are seeking a Junior Assistant Wholesale Planner to join their growing NYC team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1–2 years of experience looking to continue building a career within merchandise planning, inventory analysis, forecasting, and wholesale retail analytics in a fast-paced fashion/apparel environment. Responsibilities Support weekly retail sales reporting and analysis across multiple brands and categories Assist with inventory reporting and analyze changes in stock levels and business trends Help manage open orders, order confirmations, and shipment reporting Support monthly shipment forecasting and replenishment analysis Assist Senior Planners and leadership with reporting, analytics, and ad hoc projects Build relationships with external retail partners and buying teams Identify opportunities to improve inventory levels, forecasting accuracy, and sales performance Collaborate cross-functionally with customer service, warehouse, operations, and IT teams Qualifications 1–2 years of relevant planning, merchandising, allocation, inventory, or analytics experience Strong internship experience will also be considered Advanced Excel skills required including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data manipulation Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills Retail math knowledge is a plus Excellent communication and organizational skills Motivated, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast‑paced environment This is a hybrid opportunity based in NYC with 4 days onsite and 1 day remote each week.
