Role Description The Mental Health Counselor will provide individual, couples, and family counseling to clients in a hybrid setting, with services delivered both in person at the Blackwood, NJ office and remotely from home as appropriate. This full-time role includes conducting intake assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, and providing ongoing psychotherapy using clinically sound, culturally responsive approaches. Day-to-day responsibilities involve maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation, coordinating care with other providers, and participating in case consultations or team meetings. The counselor will monitor client progress, adjust interventions as needed, provide crisis support within scope, and uphold professional and ethical standards. The role also includes engaging in continuing education and quality improvement activities to support best practices and positive client outcomes. Qualifications Demonstrated expertise in Mental Health and Psychology, including knowledge of common diagnoses and evidence-informed therapeutic approaches. Strong skills in Treatment Planning and Case Management to assess needs, set goals, and coordinate services effectively. Experience in Relationship Counseling, including work with couples and families to address communication, conflict, and relational dynamics. Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related behavioral health field; active or eligible licensure (e.g., LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent) in New Jersey. Ability to maintain clear, timely clinical documentation and use electronic health record systems competently. Strong interpersonal, communication, and boundary-setting skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport across diverse populations. Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, cultural responsiveness, and trauma-informed care.
