Programmer Analyst

Salary: $70,000 - 87,500 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• We look for three to five years of software development experience.
• We need proficiency in PowerOn and HTML/CSS3/JavaScript.
• We expect a solid understanding of SDLC methodologies, including waterfall or agile.
• We value strong organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• We need the ability to manage multiple priorities, follow through, and meet demanding deadlines.
• We require flexibility to work nights, weekends, and off-hours as needed for month-end, quarter-end, and other system processing.
• We look for strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively on cross-functional teams.
• We require good credit standing, verified before interview.
• We require a successful background check and drug screening after an offer is made.
• Preferred experience includes working knowledge of SQL, C#, Java, or other programming languages.
• Preferred knowledge includes operating systems and relational database management systems.
• Preferred background includes credit union operations such as IT, Accounting, Member Services, Operations, Lending, Audit, Marketing, Fraud, Collections, and day-end/month-end/year-end processing.
• Preferred experience includes supporting Symitar-related systems, automation tools, or teller capture systems.
• Preferred experience includes working with vendors on software implementation or troubleshooting.

• We maintain, troubleshoot, and configure the Symitar system to keep it available for members, end users, and critical service providers.
• We develop, update, and support Symitar core banking applications and utility programs, including SymXchange API, PowerOn, PowerFrame Docs/MicroApps, and OpCon.
• We identify inefficiencies and implement improvements to enhance core performance and related services.
• We administer and support automation, optical, teller capture systems, SymConnect/SymXchange operations, and Symitar front-end and back-end applications.
• We provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for Symitar and other critical applications through the help desk.
• We serve as an escalation point for complex application support issues.
• We diagnose problems, determine corrective actions, and develop custom programs when appropriate.
• We collaborate with vendors to deploy new software, resolve issues, and support organizational initiatives.
• We review code for quality assurance and ensure development follows SDLC methodologies, programming principles, and best practices.
• We maintain accurate technical and procedural documentation for supported systems and applications.
• We mentor and train junior staff.
• We partner with internal teams across the organization to support system needs and project work.
• We participate in required AML/BSA compliance training.
• We provide on-call support as needed.
