In House Design and Release of Body Exterior components

Will interact with all stages of part development from initial CAD drawings, to studio through surface development, prototyping, testing and feasibility, tooling, manufacturing and launch.

Lead development and execution of product verification plans and final engineering sign-off.

Ensure system meets all Corporate Requirements and specifications

Will push and ensure timelines are met for the entire 3 year PD lifecycle.

Will attend supplier manufacturing site and travel to assembly for launch to assist in initial builds

Will be a meeting heavy job.

Will work with testing and validation engineering to ensure components meet requirements

Will be assigned to a specific component (seat structures, 3 row seats for a vehicle, Taurus front buckets, etc..) and will be responsible for that program.

Hands are part of the job is looking at prototype parts and involvement at the testing and validation stages.

Will interact with various other internal teams such as Program Management, Costing, Tooling, Systems, Vehicle Integration to represent their parts through the PD life cycle.

Will receive pressures from all internal and external groups as it pertains to cost, weight, functionality, manufacturability, and sizing of the component being ultimately responsible for releasing the part having each party be equally happy or unhappy.

Skills Preferred: Previous experience in exterior systems design & release is also preferred Experience Required: Entry Level to Experience Level Experience Preferred: Injection Molded, Plastic & Glass, Sheet metal

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of DEARBORN, MI.

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $50.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a hybrid position in DEARBORN,MI.
