Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Sales Assistant to join our Halston Dresses & Sportswear team. This role will provide hands-on support across showroom operations, market appointments, wholesale order management, account reporting, and sample coordination.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working in a fast-paced wholesale environment, and able to manage detailed order and account information with accuracy. This individual will work closely with the Sales team throughout the market and order lifecycle, from preparing for buyer appointments and maintaining samples to entering orders, reviewing EDI transmissions, and generating weekly selling reports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain showroom and sample closet organization, ensuring samples are presentable, organized, and ready for buyer appointments and selling needs.
\n
• Manage the shipping and tracking of showroom and TOP samples to wholesale accounts, coordinating with the mailroom and ordering additional samples from the warehouse as needed.
\n
• Manage PO and sales order entry, monitoring and updating the order lifecycle from bulk reserve through EDI and maintaining an accurate shipping log.
\n
• Assist with the preparation and setup of market appointments, including organizing appointment racks, coordinating visitor entry, and supporting additional appointment needs.
\n
• Record buyer selections following market appointments and communicate selections to Production through Image Info.
\n
• Assist with post-market order outlines using NuORDER and Excel .
\n
• Create and maintain account line books to support pre-market and post-market selling needs.
\n
• Generate, save, and distribute weekly selling reports for major wholesale accounts.
\n
• Send account order confirmations prior to EDI transmission to validate information and ensure orders are processed accurately and on time.
\n
• Review EDI orders for accuracy and assist with transmission approvals, follow-up, and issue resolution as needed.
\n
• Maintain and update Storyboard with current product imagery to ensure the Sales team has accurate images available for ATS and selling reports.
\n
• Support the Sales team during market appointments and with additional showroom, account, and order management needs as required.
\n

• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple orders, samples, accounts, and deadlines simultaneously.

• Comfortable working with detailed sales and order information and committed to maintaining accuracy.
\n
• Proactive and dependable with strong follow-through.
\n
• A strong communicator who can work effectively across Sales, Production, Logistics, and other internal teams.
\n
• Comfortable supporting buyer-facing market appointments and working in a fast-paced showroom environment.
\n
• Interested in fashion, wholesale sales, and the Halston Dresses & Sportswear business.
\n

Qualifications:

\n
• Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Fashion Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
\n
• 1–2 years of relevant industry experience, preferably within fashion wholesale, sales, or account support.
\n
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required .
\n
• Experience with NuORDER and EDI/order management processes preferred.
\n
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
\n
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
\n
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
\n
• Ability and willingness to travel approximately 5–10% of the time for market appointments, customer meetings, and other business needs.

The pay range for this position is: $31.25 – $36.06 per hour.
