We believe that how we serve is just as important as what we deliver.Job DescriptionWe're hiring a Dispatch Manager to oversee and coordinate daily transportation and delivery operations for our Barberton branch. This role is responsible for ensuring drivers, routes, deliveries, pickups, and documentation are managed efficiently while maintaining a high level of customer service and DOT compliance.If you're an organized logistics professional who enjoys working with drivers, customers, vendors, and operations teams to keep everything moving, this is the role for you.What You'll DoCoordinate and schedule inbound vendor deliveries and outbound customer orders using the company fleetManage driver schedules and delivery routes to ensure on-time performance and meet service level commitmentsCoordinate daily dispatch activities and adjust routes as needed to address changing customer and operational requirementsVerify shipping and delivery documentation to ensure accuracy and alignment with customer requirementsMonitor driver logs and vehicle information to maintain DOT complianceCommunicate with customers regarding delivery schedules, inquiries, and service-related concernsResolve delivery issues quickly and coordinate solutions with customers, drivers, and branch operationsOrganize and coordinate pickups from local vendorsCollaborate with warehouse and operations teams to ensure smooth outbound shipments and internal transfersMonitor delivery performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service, and productivityProvide direction and support to drivers and ensure company transportation policies and procedures are followedMaintain a professional, safety-focused, and customer-first transportation operationWhat We're Looking ForExperience: 1+ year of dispatching or transportation coordination experience; industrial supply or distribution experience preferred Leadership: Ability to coordinate drivers, routes, vendors, customers, and internal teams in a fast-paced environment Logistics: Strong understanding of delivery scheduling, routing, and transportation operations Customer Service: Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service while resolving delivery-related issues Communication: Professional, clear, and effective verbal and written communication skills Attention to Detail: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and changing demands DOT Knowledge: Understanding of DOT requirements and driver compliance preferred Technology: Comfortable working with transportation, dispatch, Microsoft Office, and other computer-based systems Confidentiality: Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive company, employee, and customer information Teamwork: Comfortable working closely with drivers, warehouse teams, sales, vendors, and customers Problem Solving: Ability to make quick, sound decisions and find solutions when unexpected delivery challenges ariseWhy You'll Love Working With UsConsistent Hours – Monday–Friday daytime schedule with weekends off Positive Culture – Team-first environment built on respect and trust Career Growth – Opportunities to grow within a nationwide organization Competitive Benefits:Health, Dental, Vision401(k) with Employer MatchPaid Time Off, Sick Time & HolidaysEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Our Values – OUR PROMISE MEANS MORE™Respect – We treat everyone with kindness and fairness Integrity – We do what's right, always Teamwork – We support each other and win together Family Feel – A nationwide company with a local touchReady to build your future with SouthernCarlson?
