Job Description:

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is responsible for patient assessments, developing care plans, implementing and evaluating these plans, and revising therapy plans as needed. The role involves performing diagnostic testing including ABG's, PFT's, EKG's, cardiac diagnostics, bronchoscopy, and pulse oximetry. The therapist may also be required to transport patients within the hospital or between facilities and must be flexible with shift hours as well as provide on-call coverage.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient assessments and develop care plans.
• Perform diagnostic testing such as ABG's, PFT's, EKG's, cardiac diagnostics, bronchoscopy, and pulse oximetry.
• Transport patients within the hospital or between facilities.
• Provide on-call coverage outside standard scheduled hours.

Requirements:

• Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Education Program (CoARC, JRCRTE, or CAAHEP).
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via NBRC.
• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
