Lead Engineer

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join the team as the Lead Engineer at the #1 Hotel in Los Angeles, as voted by Travel and Leisure: Oceana in Santa Monica, CA. This oceanfront, all‑suite hotel reopened in July 2019 after undergoing a $35 Million complete transformation, and we are now seeking motivated, enthusiastic professionals to become integral members of our team. Responsibilities Perform ongoing facility maintenance and complete repairs on equipment to keep the property operating and address any problems before they worsen. Lead the maintenance and repair program of a four‑star or five‑star hotel, focusing on common maintenance issues such as fixing machinery, plumbing, heating, and wiring, and inspecting the building to confirm safety standards. Maintain a clean and safe environment for guests and employees, supporting the hotel’s commitment to public safety, integrity, honesty, and ethics. Engage with guests and team members, address maintenance concerns efficiently, and promptly elevate issues when necessary. Enforce company standards regarding operational processes and procedures related to the hotel’s maintenance program. Work a full‑time hospitality schedule defined by operational needs, including weekends and holidays. Conform to hotel dress and grooming standards, which include wearing the hotel‑issued uniform, no visible tattoos while wearing a uniform, no unnatural hair colors, no piercings other than one pair of earrings, and neatly groomed facial hair. Qualifications At least four years of maintenance experience in a luxury hotel or resort. Strong desire for a clean and safe environment for guests and employees. Holiday pay (if working) or paid holidays (if scheduled off) for six yearly holidays.
