Tax Manager Assistant

TAX SENIOR / SUPERVISOREstablished and profitable regional CPA firm in search of a Tax Senior for team expansion. Enjoy a work-life balance, excellent benefits, potential bonuses, and a direct path to management. Hybrid work model with flexibility to work from home several days per week.ResponsibilitiesExecute various accounting and tax tasks under guidance from supervisors.Show proficiency in technical skills, work quality, and adherence to professional standards.Provide guidance to assistants, when applicable, and review their work.Organize and index working papers; perform procedures to validate client financial matters.Prepare complex tax returns and dissolve or liquidate returns.Recommend tax planning strategies to superiors.Draft routine client correspondence and management letter comments.Oversee staff accountants and assistants in their assignments, review their work, and provide feedback.Qualifications3-5 years of public accounting experience, demonstrating increasing complexity in tasks and tax knowledge.Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting.Minimum of 40 hours of annual continuing education in accounting.Hold or actively pursue a CPA license through passing the state exam.If licensed, maintain good standing with the AICPA.
