Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a meaningful impact in the lives of elementary students as an onsite Special Education Teacher focusing on Developmental and Cognitive Delay (DCD) at a center-based program. This contract opportunity runs from late August 2026 through early June 2027, with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule. Located within a supportive and collaborative environment, you’ll guide a caseload of elementary students, fostering their academic and social development while working closely with dedicated educators and specialists.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Minnesota Teaching Certification (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
- License and certification documentation must be provided for consideration
- Experience or strong interest in working with elementary students with developmental and cognitive delays
- Solid understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and special education best practices
- Excellent communication skills for interactions with students, families, and team members
- Positive, resourceful, and patient approach to problem-solving
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging instruction tailored to the unique developmental needs of each student on your DCD caseload
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with school teams and families
- Foster a safe and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and growth
- Track student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and adjust strategies to maximize success
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff to ensure effective services and accommodations
