Associate Private Equity Fund Accountant

Associate, Fund Accounting Location: Providence, RI Employment Type: Full-Time About the Company Our client is a leading middle-market private equity firm with a strong track record of investing across North America and Europe. Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Associate to join a Fund Accounting team. This individual will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of multiple investment funds and will work closely with senior finance leadership. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a strong foundation within private equity finance. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain bank reconciliations Record journal entries and maintain supporting documentation Assist with weekly cash reporting and analysis Support the execution and tracking of capital calls and distributions Contribute to the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements Coordinate with external auditors and support audit requests Respond to limited partner inquiries and ad hoc reporting needs Assist with wire transfers and treasury-related activities Participate in special projects and process improvements as needed Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 1–3 years of relevant experience, preferably within public accounting or financial services CPA or progress toward CPA designation is preferred Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience with accounting systems such as Workday or Investran is a plus Close attention to detail and strong organizational skills Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment Self-starter with a strong work ethic and willingness to take on a variety of responsibilities Why Join Exposure to private equity fund operations and financial reporting Collaborative and high-performing team environment Opportunity for professional growth and development Competitive compensation and benefits package Interested candidates should send their resume to Kyle Archer at View email address on click.appcast.io
