We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Dog Groomer to join our team as a part-time groomer. As a Dog Groomer, you will be responsible for providing professional grooming services to our furry clients, ensuring their comfort, health, and overall well-being. Responsibilities: Perform grooming services such as bathing, brushing, haircuts, nail trimming, and ear cleaning for dogs of various breeds and sizes. Assess each dog's coat condition and recommend appropriate grooming techniques and styles based on breed standards and client preferences. Safely handle and restrain dogs during grooming procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times. Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, including proper sanitation of grooming tools and equipment. Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming requirements and provide personalized services. Monitor and report any health issues or abnormalities observed during grooming sessions to the pet owner or supervisor. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns, answering questions, and offering grooming advice and recommendations. Stay updated on the latest grooming techniques, trends, and industry standards through continuous learning and professional development. Collaborate with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow within the grooming department. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including maintaining accurate records of grooming services provided and client information. Requirements: Proven experience as a Dog Groomer, preferably in a professional grooming salon or pet care facility. In-depth knowledge of dog breeds, coat types, and grooming techniques. Proficiency in various grooming styles and ability to adapt to client preferences. Strong understanding of dog behavior and ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members. Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high grooming standards. Physical stamina and ability to lift and restrain dogs of various sizes. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed. Certification from a recognized grooming school or association is preferred but not required. Qualifications: High school Diploma or equivalent. Licensing or certification a plus but not required. Previous experience in animal care or other related fields Reliable transportation Open to flexible schedule Passion to help and treat animals. Ability to interact with animals in a calm, non-threatening manner. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
