Maintenance Tech- $20 Hr- WOODSPRING SUITES

Job Summary Perform scheduled preventative maintenance in guest rooms, meeting rooms, and public spaces as required. Maintain, repair, and clean these areas in accordance with property procedures and standard guidelines. Follow all company safety and security policies, complete required safety training and certifications. Responsibilities Perform light maintenance duties such as painting, fixing faucets/toilets, and minor building repairs. Perform light interior and exterior cleaning. Report work‑related accidents or injuries immediately to manager/supervisor. Use proper equipment, wear appropriate personal protective clothing, and employ correct lifting procedures to avoid injury. Follow the Hazardous Material Management Program for handling and disposing of chemicals, fertilizers, pesticides, and blood‑borne pathogens, including using Material Safety Data Sheets. Identify and correct unsafe work procedures or conditions, or report them to management and security/safety personnel. Follow policies and procedures for the safe operation and storage of tools, equipment, and machines. Complete appropriate safety training and certifications needed to perform job tasks. Follow property‑specific procedures for handling emergency situations (evacuations, medical emergencies, natural disasters). Protect the privacy and security of guests and coworkers. Maintain confidentiality of proprietary materials and information. Protect company tools, equipment, machines, and other assets in accordance with company policies. Ensure uniform, nametags, and personal appearance are clean, hygienic, professional, and compliant with company policies. Address guests’ service needs in a professional, positive, and timely manner. Support all co‑workers and treat them with dignity and respect. Develop and maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Perform physical tasks such as reaching over the head or below the knees, bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, and moving, lifting, carrying, or pushing objects up to 50 pounds without assistance. Perform preventative maintenance on hotel equipment and miscellaneous minor repairs such as tightening loose toilet seats, changing light bulbs, and patching holes in walls. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance in guest rooms, meeting rooms, and/or public spaces, which includes flipping mattresses, vacuuming behind and underneath furniture, deep cleaning carpets, touch‑up painting, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, ensuring appliances are present and working, replacing light fixtures, and inspecting grout/caulking. Report any serious maintenance problems, unusual findings, or safety hazards immediately to manager/supervisor. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by manager.
