FirefighterEmergency Medical Technician

The Town of Stow is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Firefighter/EMT. This position performs professional administrative day to day operations fire prevention code enforcement fire protection rescue emergency medical service hazardous materials mitigation and disaster response functions and may involve protecting lives and property as well as other duties of the Stow Fire Department.
Minimum qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent with Associate Degree in Fire Science preferred. Experience as a call firefighter/EMT or experience as a full-time firefighter/EMT with inspection and code enforcement responsibilities. Current MA EMT certification current drivers license non-smoker.
This is an IAFF AFL-CIO union position with a starting hourly rate of $ eligible. Applications must be received no later than Friday November 6 2026 by 4:00 PM. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.

Employment will be contingent upon the satisfactory results of a number of pre-placement conditions including: Thorough background investigation including motor vehicle and criminal background check; Pre-employment physical examination; Drug test; Psychological screening and Physical Abilities Test (PAT) to test the strength and agility required (consisting of seven stations).
