Are you passionate about making a positive impact in school settings? We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to work on a contract basis serving students near Verona, WI. In this role, your diverse OT background will help students maximize their academic participation and reach developmental milestones. You’ll collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to design and implement effective interventions, truly shaping young lives in a supportive educational environment.
What we’re looking for:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of Wisconsin
- Previous experience working in schools or pediatric settings
- Versatility in OT practice, including school-based and healthcare knowledge
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Solid documentation and progress monitoring skills
- Ability to adapt strategies to meet diverse student needs
Key responsibilities:
- Assess students to identify barriers affecting participation in academic or everyday tasks
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and interventions within the educational setting
- Collaborate with teachers and families to reinforce therapeutic strategies and facilitate generalization into classroom routines
- Monitor progress and adjust interventions based on student response and evolving needs
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing OT recommendations and professional insight
- Maintain detailed and timely records per district and regulatory requirements
