Location: Neptune, NJ 07754
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days (7:00 AM-7:30 PM)
Schedule: 3 days/week, 12 hrs/day, 36 hrs/week
Pay Range: $60-$64/hr.
Schedule Notes:

Every other weekend required
Holiday requirement as needed
No on-call
Floating required as needed to Pediatrics/PICU
Scrub Color: Navy

Work Setting: NICU / Pediatrics / PICU Float Support

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum 1 year of NICU or related specialty RN experience
Neonatal intensive care experience
Pediatric and/or PICU experience
Patient assessment and critical care management
Therapeutic nursing intervention experience
Ability to develop and implement individualized care plans
Strong clinical documentation and EMR skills
Evidence-based nursing practice knowledge
Ability to manage high-acuity neonatal patients
Effective communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills

Education

Required

Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN)

Preferred

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Required Certifications & Licensure

Active NJ RN License or Compact RN License
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP - AHA Only)

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating neonatal patients and assisting physicians with patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions. Provides patient-centered care for NICU patients while supporting evidence-based practice standards and collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Duties

Patient Care & Clinical Responsibilities

Assess neonatal patient conditions and prioritize patient care needs
Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized nursing care plans
Perform therapeutic nursing interventions
Monitor and manage high-acuity neonatal patients
Document nursing care according to established standards and clinical priorities

Collaboration & Care Coordination

Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Support evidence-based nursing practices and care innovations
Provide patient-centered care aligned with professional nursing standards
Float to Pediatrics/PICU units as needed within facility

Documentation & Compliance

Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation
Ensure compliance with nursing practice standards and hospital policies
Participate in ongoing patient assessments and care evaluations
