Location: Bossier City, LA

Start Date: 05/04/2026

End Date: 08/01/2026

Shift: 12H Night Shift

Hours per Week: 36-40 hours (4-day or 3-day rotation options)

Employment Type: Contract

Licenses & Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required

Experience: 2+ years of acute care RN experience, including Med/Surg or ICU; recent EKG competency test required

Hourly Pay Rate: $50.25

What You'll Do

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with complex medical conditions including respiratory failure, sepsis, stroke, DKA, post-heart cath, post-aortogram/arteriogram
• Manage patient intake, monitor vital signs, and administer medications such as drip titrations (Levophed, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Insulin)
• Perform CVL management, foley catheter care, tube feedings via NGT or PEG, arterial line management, and diabetes management
• Collaborate with the healthcare team including hospitalists, RT, OT, PT, and ST staff
• Document patient care accurately in EMR system (Meditech Expanse)
• Float to other units such as Stroke or Med/Surg based on staffing needs
• Maintain professionalism and adhere to hospital standards and policies

What You Need

• Active RN license in Louisiana or compact state
• 2+ years of recent acute care RN experience, including Med/Surg or ICU
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam

• Experience with CVL management and medication drip titration
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to adapt to float assignments and varying shift schedules
