Responsibilities
- Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervises and directs activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines.
- Utilizes critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment to prioritize and modify care plans.
- Administers medications, monitors patient status, and manages IV therapies; responds to changes in condition and escalates as needed.
- Documents assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the patient's chart; communicates effectively with the interprofessional team.
- Ensures patient safety, infection control, and adherence to policy while supporting smooth patient transitions and discharge planning.

Requirements
- Current, unrestricted RN license in California.
- ICU or critical care nursing experience preferred.
- Ability to work nights and 12-hour shifts (3x12 nights) for a 36-hour work week.
- Willingness to participate in a travel assignment and adapt to a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and independent judgment skills; ability to supervise and coordinate care for a diverse care team.
