Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provides specialized nursing care to critical care patients in the ICU setting, ensuring adherence to established standards and protocols. Supervises and collaborates with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care that promotes recovery and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Assess critically ill patients by collecting relevant health data and analyzing assessment findings.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans targeting specific ICU patient needs.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed, monitoring responses closely.
• Collaborate with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and ensure seamless communication.
• Educate patients and families about ICU procedures, treatments, and health management strategies.
• Assist with discharge planning to promote continuity of care and patient safety post-hospitalization.

Qualifications:

• Current registered nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
• Strong critical care nursing experience, preferably in ICU environments.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Demonstrated ability to manage high-acuity patients with sound clinical judgment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
