Sr. Network Engineer

A Bachelor’s or Higher Degree is the minimum entry required for the position We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer with a strong focus on Palo Alto Networks Security to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 7 -10 years of experience in network engineering, with a proven track record of designing, implementing, and managing secure network infrastructures. This role requires a deep understanding of network security principles and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced environment. Responsibilities: Design, implement, and manage network security solutions using Palo Alto Networks technologies. Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate risks. Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure network security policies and procedures are adhered to. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation. Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and other team members. Stay updated on the latest security threats and trends, and recommend improvements to existing security measures. Document network configurations, processes, and procedures for future reference. Participate in on call rotation and respond to network incidents as needed. The SME is expected to provide on call support on an as required basis Mandatory Skills: Strong expertise in Palo Alto Networks Security products and solutions. In depth knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching. Experience with firewall configuration and management. Proficiency in network monitoring and analysis tools. Solid understanding of VPN technologies and secure remote access solutions. Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues effectively. Preferred Skills: Certifications such as Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) or equivalent. Experience with cloud networking and security solutions. Familiarity with scripting languages for automation (e.g., Python, Bash). Knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., PCI DSS, HIPAA) and their application in network security. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 7 10 years of experience in network engineering with a focus on security. Proven experience with Palo Alto Networks products and solutions. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The pay range for this role is $ 95,000 - $100,000*per annum including any bonuses or variable pay.
