Job Quick Facts: • Specialty: Gastroenterology • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Facility Location: Tucson, AZ • Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient • Reason For Coverage: Supplemental • Coverage Period: Dec 24, 2025 - Ongoing • Coverage Type: Call only • Shifts needed to be filled: - Dec 24(7a) - Jan 5(7a)• Call Schedule: 24-hr call; 7a-7a • Call Type: Beeper • Call Ratio: 1:1• Call Response Time: 30 mins • Callback: 20%• Phone Consults: 5• Patient Volume: 5-20• Procedures in Hospital: 5-10• Admissions: 2-10• Rounding Included: Yes • Support Staff: 5 RNs • Required Procedures: - Upper GI endoscopy: with biopsy, with foreign body removal, with fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser), With injection of varices & With PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) - ERCP: Diagnostic & Therapeutic - Small Bowel biopsy, Lower GI endoscopy, Sigmoidoscopy & Colonoscopy. • Beds in the Dept: 300• Trauma Level: III • EMR: Cerner • Hospital Privileges required: Yes • Temporary Privileges available: Yes • Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered Requirements: • Active AZ License • BC/BE • BLS, ACLS • DEA • Fellowship • Clean record
