The role As Plant Accountant, you will play a vital role in supporting the financial health and operational efficiency of the manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for tracking production costs, managing inventory accounting, and ensuring accurate financial reporting at the plant level. You will have a strong background in cost accounting, a good understanding of manufacturing processes, and the ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive performance and cost control. As a Plant Accountant at IPL You Will Monitor and reconcile inventory transactions, including raw materials, WIP, and finished goods Perform, prepare and execute month‑end activities, journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting Prepare bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies to maintain accurate cash balances Prepare monthly plant financial statements and variance analysis reports Support the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes for the plant Track capital expenditures and manage fixed asset accounting Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to identify cost‑saving opportunities Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and audit requirements Assist with physical inventory counts and cycle counts Analyse production efficiency, scrap, and yield variances Provide financial insights to support plant decision‑making and performance improvement What You Will Bring to the Role Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred) 3–5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in plastics or packaging Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and inventory management Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards) and Microsoft Excel Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment Familiarity with environmental and safety cost tracking is a plus If you have the above experience and are looking for a role where you can make a real difference, apply today to find out more! #J-18808-Ljbffr
