Lead Plumber / Foreman – Run Crews and Grow a Division

Job Overview

• Company: John Christopher Construction.
• Salary/Pay Rate: $38 to $48 per hour (Based on experience) plus Earned Profit Sharing.
• Location: Southern California.
• Job/Employment Type: Full Time.
• Project Scope: Residential & Commercial Plumbing.
• Mandatory Licences & Certifications: Valid Driver's License and Appropriate Plumbing Credentials/Certifications.

The Opportunity

You will serve as an entrepreneurial field leader driving daily plumbing operations across residential and light commercial projects in Southern California. This role gives you direct autonomy to lead crews, pull permits, and run jobs independently without micromanagement. Over time, you will have a clear, earned path to division profit sharing as you build the team and expand overall trade capabilities.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Lead plumbing crews through rough-in, top-out, and finish installations strictly to code and company standards.
• Interpret architectural and plumbing plans to execute precise layouts without needing direct oversight.
• Coordinate daily schedules with project managers, general contractors, and local inspectors to keep jobs moving forward.
• Pull required trade permits and manage regulatory inspections across all active job sites.
• Mentor and develop junior plumbers to strengthen crew skills and expand division output.
• Maintain complete field ownership of crew productivity, installation quality, and job site safety practices.
• Partner with executive leadership to drive division growth, add crews, and scale trade capacity.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Proven track record as a plumbing foreman or lead managing field crews with minimal supervision.
• Extensive hands-on experience running residential and commercial plumbing from rough-in to finish.
• Demonstrated proficiency reading technical plans, executing layouts, pulling permits, and managing inspections.
• Possession of appropriate plumbing credentials and certifications required for Southern California work.
• Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish for effective crew communication and field leadership.
• Prior experience building trade teams or scaling business unit operations within a general contractor.
