Intern - Quality Engineer - Oncology

Labcorp seeks a Quality Engineering Intern for an 11-week paid internship with the Quality Assurance Team in Baltimore, supporting oncology and next-generation sequencing medical devices. The intern will assist with risk management documentation, complaint analysis, process improvement, and post-market surveillance activities.

Responsibilities

• Support maintenance and improvement of risk management files and engineering change controls
• Review historical complaints and apply statistical tools for data analysis
• Categorize complaints by risk levels to support continuous improvement initiatives
• Assist quality leads and supplier quality engineers in identifying process gaps
• Participate in post-market surveillance data analysis and related QA projects

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in Bachelor's degree program in Life Sciences or Engineering
• Interest in quality assurance and medical devices
• Eagerness to learn US and EU medical device regulations and QMS standards
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer programs
• Ability to work independently with general supervision
