Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Medical/Surgical RN with telemetry expertise to support a variety of patient care units. This role involves floating within a Central Pool and providing flexible coverage across multiple departments to ensure quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

Provide nursing care in medical, surgical, hematology/oncology, orthopedics, and psychiatry units.
Support telemetry units with specialized skills in cardiac monitoring and patient assessment.
Float between units within the Central Pool as needed, adapting to staffing requirements.
Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and ensure accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (Epic).
Participate in bi-weekly orientation sessions and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
Adhere to scheduling requirements, including weekend rotations and flexible shifts.

Qualifications:

Hold an active RN license in good standing.
Have at least 2 years of recent medical-surgical experience in a large, teaching facility.
Demonstrate proficiency with Epic electronic health record systems within the past 2 years.
Possess current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications, with NIHSS completed prior to start.
Have prior travel nursing experience with large facilities.
Be flexible with scheduling and willing to float across units.
