Maintenance Planner / Scheduler

East Chicago, IN, United States | req31481 What you will enjoy doing* You will develop comprehensive maintenance work packages including labor and resource requirements, cost and duration estimates, materials, parts, tools, technical documentation, safety requirements, MOC documentation, and QA/QC needs Manage procurement activities including requisitions, purchase orders, material reservations, vendor bidding processes, third-party service coordination, and material kitting to support maintenance execution Coordinate with Operations and Maintenance teams to prioritize, plan, schedule, and execute maintenance activities, ensuring equipment availability and efficient resource utilization Partner with maintenance leadership to manage workforce loading, maintenance backlog, and planning support for turnarounds and major maintenance events Further, you will facilitate daily and weekly planning meetings and support preventive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and performance Maintain the accuracy and integrity of CMMS/EAM data, including work orders, equipment BOMs, master data, maintenance records, and backlog management And you will review, analyze, and report maintenance KPIs to identify trends, improve performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives Consolidate maintenance notifications and work activities into optimized work packages to maximize efficiency, resource utilization, and execution effectiveness What makes you great You have a High school diploma required; technical school training, college coursework, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred Minimum five (5) years of maintenance planning experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment; applicable maintenance or skilled trade experience strongly preferred Strong knowledge of maintenance planning, scheduling, and work management processes Familiarity with industrial plant equipment, specifications, and maintenance planning tools You have experience coordinating maintenance activities, resources, materials, and contractor services to support efficient work execution Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Self‑starter with a strong work ethic, proven reliability, and ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across operations, maintenance, and leadership teams You have proficient computer skills and experience utilizing CMMS/EAM systems and other maintenance‑related software Passion for continuous improvement, operational excellence, and driving maintenance performance results Why you will love working with us Linde is a leading global industrial gases and engineering company with 2025 sales of $34 billion.
