Registered Nurse - Intermediate Care (Nursing)

Join our nursing team as a Registered Nurse in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU), where you will provide exceptional care to patients with various diagnoses, including neurological, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory conditions.

Unit Information:

Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM (Block scheduling not guaranteed)
Floating: Required
Scrub Color: Navy Blue
Patient Demographics: Ages 18 and up
Number of Beds: 64 beds (15 designated for Neuro patients)

Common Diagnoses:

Neurological Conditions
Cardiac Issues
Trauma Cases
Respiratory Conditions: COPD, DKA, Sepsis, Myocardial Infarction, CV stepdown, post-operative care

Specialty Equipment:

Temporary pacemakers
Chest tubes
Arterial lines
Bipap machines
Neptune Vapo
Chronic ventilators (unable to wean, respiratory therapist assistance available)

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) or Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Documented travel experience
Current AHA certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Active NY Registered Nurse license and all RN licenses
EMR experience with EPIC
