Location: Costa Mesa and Irvine CA

Pay Rate: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday through Friday | Full-Time

Job Summary


Adecco is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Clerk to join a growing construction distribution company . This position is responsible for supporting daily accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general administrative accounting duties. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of accounting experience and strong organizational skills. A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is a plus .

Key Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Match purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documents.
• Prepare and enter accounting data into accounting software systems.
• Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and customer accounts.
• Assist with month-end closing activities and financial reporting.
• Maintain accurate records of invoices, payments, and account balances.
• Follow up on outstanding customer invoices and vendor inquiries.
• Support payroll processing and related documentation as needed.
• Generate reports and assist management with financial data analysis.
• File and maintain accounting and financial records in accordance with company policies.
• Collaborate with operations, purchasing, and warehouse teams to ensure accurate financial transactions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of accounting clerk, bookkeeping, or similar accounting experience .
• Experience working in a construction, distribution, logistics, or industrial environment preferred.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field preferred .
• Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
• Ability to perform repetitive data entry tasks accurately.
