Become a Key Player as an Accounting Clerk

You will support the accounting function by processing transactions, maintaining records, and assisting with financial reporting to keep operations accurate and compliant. You will collaborate with functional departments, management, vendors, and customers to ensure timely processing of payables, receivables, payroll/labor, and billing. This is an onsite role in Irvine, CA (1st shift, 8 AM - 5 PM).
Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team

• Process daily labor cards, progress billings, payroll, shippers, invoices, accounts payable vouchers, and travelers checks
• Type, file, and maintain vouchers, invoices, statements, reports, and other accounting records
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports, operating statements, and journal vouchers
• Post and balance ledgers; maintain and check records for accuracy
• Distribute paychecks, time cards, and reports
• Interface with functional departments, management, vendors, and customers
• Assist and train less experienced personnel
• Perform other related accounting responsibilities as assigned

Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role

• Two years of accounting or payroll experience, or demonstrated ability to perform the described responsibilities
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior computer and data entry experience (Lotus 1-2-3 noted as an example)
• Ability to accurately input and calculate numbers and operate a 10-key calculator by touch
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and applicable California labor laws and taxes
• Accurate typing skills (35 WPM may be required)
• Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Pay Range

$12.30 - $15.37/hour
