Cook/Chef Opportunity – Epworth Villa
Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Starting Pay: $17 per hour
Status: Temporary Full-Time; 4-12 weeks

Every meal we serve plays an important role in providing comfort, nutrition, and meaningful daily experiences for our residents.

Position Overview

Our kitchen operates daily from 5:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

This is a Temporary Full-Time position. Applicants must have flexible availability to meet operational needs. Shifts may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Interested in staying with us? While this position is temporary, employees who demonstrate strong performance and reliability are encouraged to express interest in future regular full-time Cook openings. Should a permanent position become available, temporary employees may be considered based on qualifications, performance, and organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality meals according to approved menus while maintaining consistency and attention to detail.
• Receive, label, store, and rotate food products in compliance with food safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen environment.
• Collaborate effectively with culinary and dietary team members to ensure efficient daily operations.
• Properly clean, shut down, and secure kitchen equipment and work areas at the end of each shift.
• Accurately document food temperatures and complete required logs in a timely manner.
• Contribute to a positive dining experience that supports resident satisfaction and well-being.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of professional cooking experience required.
• Experience in healthcare, senior living, or high-volume food service environments preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Demonstrated reliability, strong work ethic, and a collaborative team-oriented mindset.
