ControllerPosition SummaryA well-established organization is seeking a hands-on accounting and finance leader to oversee financial reporting, treasury management, compliance, and accounting operations. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with executive leadership while leading all aspects of the organization's financial management in a collaborative, lean environment. Key ResponsibilitiesLead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.Maintain the general ledger, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.Manage regulatory and compliance-related financial reporting requirements.Oversee cash management, banking relationships, and investment activities.Monitor operational transactions and ensure accurate financial recording and reporting.Maintain and enhance internal controls and financial processes.Ensure compliance with audit requirements and corporate policies.Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.Partner with executive leadership on strategic financial initiatives and decision-making.Serve as the primary contact for external auditors and other third-party stakeholders.Collaborate cross-functionally with operational and administrative teams.Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.Manage income tax accounting, including current and deferred tax provisions. RequiredBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.Active CPA designation.7 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.Experience working in the insurance industry.
