With years of operating experience within the industry, Northwinds understands its unique importance and complexities, and we're committed to helping businesses reach their full potential.Responsibilities:Prepare supporting schedules and record regular journal entries in general ledger systemsPrepare general ledger account reconciliations on a monthly basis across affiliated companiesFixed asset maintenance in sub-ledger and general ledger across affiliated companiesPerform monthly expense account analysis to ensure accurate cost reportingReview transactional details and postings for accuracy and reasonablenessReview job costing to ensure accurate recording of revenues and expensesVarious additional accounting and financial reporting tasksServe as backup to other Accounting Department team membersSpecial projects as assignedJob Qualifications:Degree in Accounting or 2+ years prior accounting experienceSuperior communication and interpersonal skillsStrong computer skills with an emphasis on Microsoft Office suite of products. Prior experience working with business software programs a plus, including Sage Intaact, ServiceTitan, and Quickbooks.Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining superior quality and accuracyAptitude for detailed work, data analysis, problem solving and follow-upCompetencies:Excellent verbal, written, and non-verbal communication skillsStrong leadership skillsConflict management and problem solvingLead by example by maintaining strong ethics and values, trust, and integrityQuality decision makingCustomer focusedAnalytical skillsAbility to work collaboratively with a team of non-direct reportsThe starting yearly base salary range for this position is $68,000 to $70,000. This is the range of the base pay only, it does not include other components that make up the total compensation package of the position.
