Patient Accounts Representative 

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Accounts Representative to join our healthcare team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to provide exceptional service to our patients when dealing with their billing and payment questions. The ideal candidate will be comfortable communicating over the phone, managing patient accounts, and resolving billing inquiries efficiently and professionally.   THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION.

Key Responsibilities:

- Interact with patients via telephone to collect outstanding payments and resolve billing issues

- Verify patient information and update account details accurately

- Explain billing statements and payment options clearly to patients

- Collaborate with insurance companies and healthcare providers to resolve discrepancies

- Document all communication and payment arrangements thoroughly in the system

- Follow up on unpaid accounts and escalate complex cases to appropriate departments

- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy standards

- Proven experience in patient billing, collections, or customer service within a healthcare setting

- Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills

- Knowledge of healthcare billing regulations and insurance processes
