Adjunct Faculty - Cosmetology

Job no: 493365 Work type: Faculty - Part Time Location: New Orleans, LA Categories: Academic Affairs, Technical Department Academic Affairs Type of Appointment Unclassified - Adjunct Duties and Responsibilities Prepare and provide course or laboratory lectures; Hold office hours in the amount of 30 minutes per lecture/lab course on-campus/site at times convenient for students; Prepare and grade examinations; Maintain class records and report grades; Participate in formative class evaluations and an end-of-the-semester/session evaluation session; Complete all required/mandated employee training/professional development, as applicable. Required Education High School Diploma or equivalency Required Experience Must have at least three (3) years’ work experience as a licensed cosmetologist. Basic computer skills. Required Licenses or Certifications A valid Louisiana Board of Cosmetology Instructor License Preferred Education N/A Preferred Experience Teaching experience Passing pre-employment criminal background screen is required as a condition of employment.
