Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Required Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid New Mexico Special Education Teaching License
• Experience with school-based special education programs
• Comfortable working with elementary, middle, or high school students
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt lessons and teaching styles to meet diverse student needs
• Passion for creating inclusive classroom environments

Role Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with state and federal guidelines
• Deliver direct instruction and interventions in group and one-on-one settings
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff
• Maintain student records and track progress consistently
• Engage with parents and caregivers to ensure ongoing support and communication
• Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development as needed
