SLP Outpatient

Position available for a Speech-Language Pathologist in an outpatient setting. The shift is Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. No floating or weekends are required. Required certifications include BLS, MI State License, and ASHA Certification. Experience with adult outpatient therapy is mandatory. Preferred experience includes exposure to language, cognition, dysphagia, brain injuries, apraxia of speech, voice disorders, Parkinson's, and pediatrics. The role involves evaluating and treating deficits in speech and language, cognitive-linguistic functions, memory, and swallowing. Services also address autism evaluation and therapy related to head and brain trauma. Experience with video fluoroscopy, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, anoxia, aphasia, apraxia, dementia, and Alzheimer's is preferred. Knowledge and skills in acoustic analysis, augmented communication, dysarthria, and treatment planning are essential. Therapists will work with a daily census of seven patients, conducting evaluations and interventions accordingly. Documentation in the electronic medical record system is preferred, with training conducted during orientation. All candidates must be able and willing to provide proof of high school level education.
