We are seeking an experienced and safety-conscious CDL A Driver/Material Handler to join our team in a direct hire capacity. This role is perfect for a skilled professional with a strong background in lumber yard operations, capable of safely transporting materials, operating heavy equipment, and providing exceptional customer service.

CDL A Driver/Material Handler Details:

• Direct hire position
• $20.00 to $30.00/hour
• Full Time work available
• First shift (Monday through Friday)

• Operate CDL A commercial vehicles to transport lumber, building materials, and freight to customer locations and job sites
• Ensure strict compliance with DOT regulations, safety standards, and company policies
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, maintain accurate logs, and promptly report any maintenance needs
• Proficiently operate forklifts (including Utility Lift/Telehandler), pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to efficiently load and unload trucks
• Safely move, stack, and organize various lumber products, panels, and building materials throughout the yard
• Verify order accuracy against pick tickets and ensure materials are correctly staged for delivery or customer pickup
• Perform heavy lifting, frequently handling items weighing 50-100 lbs, including lumber, hardware, and construction supplies
• Maintain a clean, safe, and highly organized lumber yard environment
• Assist with accurate inventory counts, stock rotation, and replenishment of materials
• Cut lumber or prepare custom orders as required to meet customer specifications
• Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper
• Professionally assist customers with locating materials, safely loading purchases, and answering basic product questions
• Provide courteous and efficient service to contractors, homeowners, and delivery clients

CDL A Driver/Material Handler Qualifications:

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A) with a clean driving record
• Certified or highly experienced forklift operator, particularly with Utility Lift/Telehandler
• Proven ability to perform general labor and heavy lifting; strong physical stamina required
• Demonstrated customer service experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively outdoors in various weather conditions
• Strong safety-focused mindset with experience following OSHA and yard safety standards
