Job Summary As a characterization engineering intern, the candidate will support validating and characterizing leading‑edge RF Integrated Circuits. The role will involve reviewing customer specifications, implementing measurements related to those specifications, and automating data collection and processing to generate reports that fulfill our DV and characterization requirements. The candidate should be capable of learning quickly, moving fast, continuously developing new skills, and providing timely deliverables. Roles & Responsibilities Characterization: Work closely with the lead Characterization engineer to define, measure, analyze and document product performance extraction techniques and results. System integration of hardware and software. Status Reporting: Provide periodic status reports to internal customers and management. Minimum Qualifications (Experience and Skills) Familiarity with RF concepts related to design or measurement. Solid understanding of basic circuit theory. Familiarity with analog/digital circuit test and measurement methodologies. Proficiency with general lab equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscope, multimeters, spectrum analyzers. Understanding of filtering and mixing pertaining to spectrum analysis. Demonstrated experience with at least one of the following programming languages: LabVIEW, Python, Matlab, C/C++. Preferred Qualifications Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strength in documentation clarity and completeness. Team player with a strong sense of urgency to meet product requirements on schedule. Familiarity with RF test topics such as 1dB compression, Smith charts, S‑parameters, noise figure, intermodulation distortion, and harmonics, etc. Willingness to go beyond what is required. Education Requirements Current student in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent, preferably completing 3+ years; or MSEE candidate. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office/lab environment. This role routinely uses standard office/lab equipment.
